What Is A Dyslexia Assessment

What Is A Dyslexia Assessment

Dyslexia is on the increase and more and more children and adults are diagnosed with the disorder every day. The HADC (Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre) believes that every dyslexic person is special and they work tirelessly to ensure that both those with dyslexia and their families receive the best advice and support possible.
So, what is a Dyslexia Assessment? With a team of highly trained professionals known as HASA’s ( Helen Arkell Specialist Assessors) a full literacy assessment takes place to identify any strengths and weaknesses and a full written report is made at the end. With a summary assessment completing the process including any findings and recommendations for support going forward the client is ensured full support at every stage of this/herdyslexia. Maths and handwriting assessments are also available if required. Educational Pyschologists assess those with more complex difficulties.
The areas they cover are:
  • Berkshire
  • Greater London
  • Hampshire
  • South England
  • Surrey
  • West Sussex
To find out more details visit the website or call them direct on 01252 792400 to talk to their professional team about how they can help you, whether you are a family member or would like to find out more about Dyslexia.
